Mr. Rohan Smith, Gabe Wong '20, Anjali Gupta '20, Meili Gupta '20, Dacha Thurber '20, Sophia Chang '20, and Sophia Cho '20 perform Samuel Barber's Adiago for Strings. The group was supposed to perform this piece in Venice, Italy over spring break but were unable to due to the coronavirus. They "feel that Barber's music conveys deep sadness: the sort of sadness and mourning that a Venice overwhelmed by rising sea levels and a planet stricken by climate change creates." Mr. Smith describes the slow movement of the piece as "icebergs crashing and falling."
